The publisher Nicalis has been accused of mistreatment, misconduct, and racism by some employees.
Nicalis, a well-known publisher on the independent scene for his excellent quality products (his The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth +, The End is Nigh, Cave Story +, Blade Strangers and many others), has been accused of mistreatment, misconduct, and racism by some employees, obviously wanted to remain anonymous.
To collect the testimonies was the usual Jason Schreier from Kotaku, who produced a complete report on the small publisher, pointing the finger in particular at the founder and president Tyrone Rodriguez, who apparently is known for mistreating his employees and racist outings. The charges, in this case, are not far-fetched, because the accusers have provided screenshots of conversations they had on Skype with Rodriguez, which actually does not appear just like a moderate.
Speaking of misconduct, some developers have accused Nicalis of having made promises, such as help to bring a game to multiple platforms, and then disappeared for weeks, if not months, throwing everything to shame.
Nicalis has issued a note commenting on what emerged, denying all the accusations and, in some cases, not commenting on them.
