Nicki Minaj participated in the Carpool Karaokein James Cordenlast Wednesday, 6th, and did an unexpected cover of “Someone Like You“, in Adele. The rapper sang a snippet of the song after praising the British singer and her version of “monster,” recorded for the same program in 2016. (Via NME)
It all started when Minaj started speaking with a British accent and did an imitation of Adele. Then the rapper commented on her version of “monster.” “I just loved it. She made me so, so happy. She embodied Nicki Minaj […] She sings these sad songs, so you don’t expect that from her.” said the artist.
