After Rachel Zegler was added to the cast, the Apple Spellbound animated film finds seven new performers, including Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem.
Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, John Lithgow, Jordan Fisher, Nathan Lane Jenifer Lewis and André De Shields become part of the new animation project by Apple Spellbound.
The protagonists of Being the Ricardos will therefore return to work together shortly after the release of Aaron Sorkin’s film, and will do so for the animated musicals starring West Side Story star Rachel Zegler as a princess intent on saving her kingdom.
Kidman and Bardem will play Zegler’s parents aka Ellian: “Ellesmere, the kind and extremely precise queen, and Solon, the boastful king with a heart of gold“.
Lithgow will be Ministers Bolinar, while Lewis will be Minister Nazara Prone, the princess’s royal advisors. Lane and De Shields will then lend their voices to the Oracles of the Sun and the Moon, which Ellian will seek out to find out how to save the kingdom. Fisher, ultimately, will be Callan, a boy the princess will meet on her journey.
Spellbound it is directed by Vicky Jenson (Shrek, Shar Tale) and will boast the music of the legendary composer Alan Menken.
