Nicole Kidman is ready to receive another great recognition. The star will be honored with the AFI’s Life Achievement Award. The award will be presented to the actress during a gala on June 10 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. She is the 49th person and the first Australian to receive this accolade.
Kathleen Kennedy, chair of the AFI board, said, “Nicole Kidman has mesmerized audiences for decades with the boldness of her artistry and the allure of a screen icon. She is a force both courageous in her choices and daring in every performance. AFI is honored to present her with the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award.”
