Billie Eilish fans had to say goodbye to the green highlights of the artist a few months ago. After the cover of the June issue of the British edition of the magazine “Vogue”, the artist has almost completely changed her style, but green remains her favorite color. You can see it, among others on shoes that she created in collaboration with NIKE. Both models were created in 100%. made of vegan leather.
On September 20, the first photos appeared on the artist’s Instagram profile, which were a preview of Eilish’s long-awaited collaboration with NIKE designers. “I am very happy that I can finally show you the upcoming AJ1 models that I have designed” – writes the artist under the post. “Creating the original model of the iconic Jordan was a surreal experience for me.”

The photos show Eilish dressed in two upcoming models: pistachio and glow-in-the-dark Jordans 1, and a light beige model. Each of them is made of ecological, partly recycled materials. What’s more, both models are 100% made. made of vegan leather. The shoes also have a place for the iconic Air Jordan logo and an insert with the name Billie Eilish.
The singer’s fans note that this cooperation is the best example of the fact that one of the largest shoe manufacturers in the world is starting to think more seriously about the problem of climate change and is more and more willing to use ecological materials in its projects.
The first information about Eilish’s cooperation with Nike appeared on the web in June, and after the reactions to the photos published by the singer, we can guess that both models will sell out in a few minutes. If you want to add one of the models to your collection, be sure to write down two dates in your calendars: on October 27, the shoes will appear on the official Eilish website, and three days later they will debut in the SNKRS app.
Eilish urges them to give up selling furs
This is not the first time that the 19-year-old singer has used her collaboration with a major clothing brand to speak up on the necessary changes that are necessary to reduce the harmful environmental impact of clothing manufacturers.
During this year’s MET Gala, Eilish appeared in the fairy tale of Oscar de la Renta’s creation evoking associations with Marilyn Monroe, with a corset and a long tulle train. Billie Eilish agreed to wear Oscar de la Renta’s gown for the ceremony on one condition only, as The New York Times reveals: a vegan and animal rights activist demanded that the brand completely abandon fur sales.

Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia have not used fur in their projects for several years and have persuaded Alex Bolen, the head of the Oscar de la Renta brand, to give it up completely for a long time. They argued that “natural fur is not chic, modern and appropriate”. Bolen agreed to forgo the runway furs, but the company continued to sell fur products in stores.
In an Instagram post after the MET Gala, the artist thanked the brand for changing its policy on this issue and encourages other fashion houses to follow this path.
