Maciej Stolarczyk has been leading the under-21 team from October 2020 and is fighting for promotion to the European Championships, which will take place in 2023 in Romania and Georgia. Currently, the Polish team is third with 13 points and they are two points behind the Germans.
Jerzy Engel was also mentioned among the candidates for the Polish national team by Michał Listkiewicz, former president of the Polish Football Association. “I think you should talk to Jerzy Engel to help Adam Nawałka in this first period – preparation for the play-offs, because today you have to put out the fire.
