A few days ago, Kacper Kozłowski became a new player of Brighton & Hove Albion. It is not known exactly how much the English paid for the young midfielder, but according to the authorities of Pogoń Szczecin, the amount was a record in the history of the league. This would mean that it was more than EUR 11 million, because this is how the same club paid last year for Jakub Moder.
An interesting move by Pogoń Szczecin. It is already known who will succeed Kozłowski
The departure of Kacper Kozłowski is, in addition to a large injection of cash, also a big problem for Pogoń Szczecin, which is fighting for the Polish championship this season. The 18-year-old was one of the most important players in Kosta Runjaic’s team. The club’s authorities, however, act quite quickly and have already found a replacement for the Polish representative.
It was 22-year-old Wahan Bichechchian. The transfer of the midfielder Zilin, currently playing in MSK, was announced by Pogoń on Monday via the official website. It is not known how much the Polish club paid for the Armenian, but the Transfermarkt portal estimates him at 900,000 euros. The representative of Armenia signed a 3.5-year contract in Szczecin.
– We have been working on acquiring Wahan for a very long time. We watched him live several times during his games at the previous club, we were interested in him even before he extended his contract with Zilina. I am very pleased that we have managed to close the negotiations and finalize this move. Wahan has a lot of football quality to it. I keep my fingers crossed for him to show as much of his skills as possible from the beginning of the spring round. He certainly has everything to strengthen the competition immediately and become an important link in Pogoń – said the sports director of the club from Szczecin, Dariusz Adamczuk.
Bichakhchian played in MSK Zilina since 2017. During this time, he played a total of 83 games, in which he scored 24 goals and 16 assists. He has also made 11 appearances for the Armenian national team.
