Müller stressed in the press release that the hybrid activities carried out by the Lukashenka regime meet with a firm response from world leaders. – Great Britain stands in solidarity with our country, as a member of NATO and a longtime friend of Poland. In addition to the topic of the EU’s eastern border, the heads of governments will also raise issues related to energy prices, he informed.

He recalled that in mid-November, Prime Minister Johnson, referring to the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border of the European Union, stated: “We show solidarity to our friends in Poland regarding Belarus and Russia. We encourage everyone to work for peace and stability throughout the region of Europe“.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has been a NATO member since 1949, that is from the very beginning. – Prime Minister Johnson’s government will provide support to Poland in the name of the solidarity of the members of the North Atlantic Alliance and the long-term friendship of both countries – wrote Müller.

He noted that the actions taken at the border it is one of several elements that has an impact on the current situation in Europe. Equally important – he added – is the issue related to energy.

A series of meetings of the Polish prime minister

Large costs of allowances to emit a tonne of CO2 and gas prices, dictated by major suppliers, directly drive high energy prices, contributing to inflation in many European countries, Müller said.

He added that the visit to London is another meeting with world leaders that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has recently held. He recalled that on November 10, the head of the Polish government met in Warsaw with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. Last week, the prime minister met with the director of the US National Intelligence Avril Haines and the prime ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Additionally, he conducted telephone calls with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq and the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government.

This week, the government spokesman recalled, further meetings were held, i.e. an interview with the secretary general of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

– Visit to Zagreb with the prime minister The Republic of Croatia, in Paris with the President of the French Republic, in Ljubljana with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia and in Berlin with Chancellor Angela Merkel These are the next meetings concerning the geopolitical situation in Europe – mentioned Müller.

As he emphasized, they all have a common denominator – concern for the security of the Polish-Belarusian border between the European Union and NATO, and expressions of solidarity and support. “Poland can count on the support of its allies and a firm response to the current situation on the border,” wrote the government spokesman.
