A female Narcos story, with plots from a South American soap opera: the Netflix crime thriller TV series that leaves you anxiously waiting, between drama and action.
Transposition into a TV series of the most expensive soap opera produced by the Spanish Telemundo, enthralling and very long, based in turn on the novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte “The Queen of the South”. An action drama series aired on Netflix which literally attaches the viewer to the screen, transporting him to a world where escapes, crimes, burning truths, intrigues, tension are the daily bread of the protagonists, who are mostly women.
Five seasons that brought “The Queen of the South” among the references judged to be the most interesting among the series on the streaming platform.
A largely South American cast that sees the perfect interpretations of Alice Braga, Veronica Falcon, Hemky Madera it’s still Justina Machado, Peter Gadiot And Joaquim de Almeida. A group of actors who create the right dynamics typical of the difficult, dangerous and colorful setting told by the production and, above all, provide the adequate credibility to the story.
Direct and violent actions, melodramatic references, large quantities of cocaine, flying bullets, crazy car chases, all to tell a dark drama.
Unusual and curious that the three main characters of such a criminal story are three women: the indestructible Teresa, her eccentric best friend and the wife of the cartel boss who takes her under protection.
Three emblematic figures of a universe that is usually associated with male figures, while here we have Latin women full of passion, tenacity, boldness and resistance to events and feelings.
A history full ofaction crime” and nuances thrillerable to create tension among the public, which not surprisingly received it very well on the Netflix platform.
Attention is captured by the world of drug trafficking, it is an example “narcos”, one of the most sensational titles of recent times, but also the female point of view from which the events are narrated.
The narrative perspective is centered on a female protagonist, who alone, with her own strength, makes her way in a world of men and dangers. A plot full of action and suspense, also very popular with the female audience who also find in her a reference in terms of charisma and empathy.
On Netflix”The Queen of the South” represented a real phenomenon that, if you haven’t followed yet, would be worth doing.

Teresa Mendoza is a young woman who soon sees her life turned upside down: her boyfriend is killed in Mexico as a drug trafficker executed by the head of the cartel, the certain Don Epifanio Vargas. From this moment on, her antagonist will become Teresa, the “reina del Sur”, who is forced into a desperate flight to Texas. She has a notebook with her, an object that should help her save herself.
During the escape, however, she is taken prisoner and forced to work for the Camila Vargas cartel. But who is this woman really? And why is he going to start treating her a certain way?
What can be said is only that Teresa will start working in the drug trafficking ring, delivering drugs. But this is such a hard, complex and dangerous life that there is no escape. Even more for a woman who deeply does not feel at all that she is part of a world so unscrupulous and dominated essentially by male figures.
