If you were thinking that Christopher Nolan he would not have added other stars to his already huge and impressive cast for his next film, Oppenheimeryou will have to change your mind, since Jason Clarke has just joined the long list of names that will take part in the film.
As reported by Deadline, Clarke is indeed a Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Jack Quaid, Benny Safdie, Dane DeHaan, Josh Hartnett, Kenneth Branagh, Alden Ehrenreich and David Krumholtzin what will be the film dedicated to the historical figure who made the atomic bomb possible.
Jason Clarke joins the Oppenheimer cast
The film centers on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who led the Manhattan Project and who led to the invention of the atomic bomb. A film that has been described as a “Epic thriller that pushes the audience into the throbbing paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world to save it”.
Murphy will play Oppenheimer while Emily Blunt will play his wife, but they are the only two actors whose roles we know of in this thriller.
The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer Of Kai Bird and the lamentation Martin J. Sherwin.
The film will be released in theaters in the stars and stripes on July 21, 2023. Production and shooting of the Universal feature film began a few weeks ago in New Mexico.
