Oppenheimer, the first trailer of the new film by Christopher Nolan

We imagine a future and imagining it horrifies us“: the atmosphere you breathe in has something disturbing and current first trailer of Oppenheimerthe new film by Christopher Nolan. The preview clip shows Cillian Murphy lead an all-star cast as precisely J.Robert Oppenheimer, the American physicist at the forefront of the Manhattan Project and regarded as the father of the atomic bomb. Precisely in these first few minutes released in the last few hours we see the disagreement of the scientist, who realizes that the weapon he is helping to build is something unprecedented but whose understanding is possible only through its application: “The theory goes so far”, he states in one scene.

In the cast with Murphy (historical collaborator of Nolan, who had already worked with him ne The Dark Knight, Inception And Dunkirk) there will be actors of the caliber of Kenneth Branagh, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Jack Quaid and Josh Peck. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimerthe biographical film will follow precisely the crucial moments that took place at Los Alamos laboratories, in New Mexico, during World War II and which led to the creation of the first nuclear device. In the film there will also be the figure of Enrico Fermi: the Italian physicist, creator of the first nuclear reactor, will be played by actor Danny Deferrari.

Oppenheimer will be the first film that Christopher Nolan spreads with universal and no longer with Warner Bros., his studios since I remember in 2000: during the pandemic, in fact, Warner’s decision (later withdrawn) to want to broadcast their films simultaneously in theaters and in streaming had annoyed the director, who had started a competition between various realities who wanted to grab his latest work. Eventually, in fact, the film will come out in July 2023 for Universal.
