We are all curious to find out what Christopher Nolan has in store for its fans with the new film set during World War II. Now Universal Pictures has released the first trailer from Oppenheimerthe biopic on J. Robert Oppenheimer which will explore the life of the theoretical physicist responsible for the Manhattan projectat the basis of the creation of the atomic bomb during World War II.
Oppenheimer’s first trailer
Oppenheimer is described as “an epic thriller about the enigmatic man who risked destroy the whole world to save it“. Cillian Murphyknown for playing Thomas Shelby in the TV series Peaky Blinderswill play the role of the protagonist, flanked by Florence Pugh in those of Jean Tatlock, a member of the US Community Party with whom Oppenheimer had a relationship.
In the cast also present are Benny Safdie in the role of Edward Teller, member of the team of the Manhattan Project and Hungarian physicist, considered the father of the hydrogen bomb; Emily Blunt as Katherine Vissering Oppenheimer, wife of J. Robert Oppenheimer; it’s still Josh Hartnett, Robert Downy Jr., Matt Damon, Dane Dehaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, David Dastmalchian, Josh Peck, Alex Wolff, James D’Arcy, and Matthias Schweighöfer. Rounding out the cast are Tony Goldwyn, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, and Alden Ehrenreich.
We remember that Oppenheimer marked the end of the partnership between Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros., after the collaborations for the trilogy of dark Knight (on Amazon you can find the three Blu-ray movies), Inception, Dunkirk And Tenet. As for the budget available, it is about 100 million dollars, also because in Oppenheimer they will not fail special effects of great quality, as can already be seen from first trailer which you can see below:
Christopher Nolan wrote the film script of the film, based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, 2005 Pulitzer Prize Winner technical cast it is made up of many of the director’s longtime collaborators, such as producers Emma Thomas and Charles Roven; director of photography Hoyte Van Hotema; motorwoman Jennifer Lame; and the composer Ludwig Göransson.
