Charles Oppenheimer, the grandson of the “father of the atomic bomb”, is also full of praise for Christopher Nolan who had at his disposal a colossal amount of historical documents in addition to the book Robert Oppenheimer: Triumph and Tragedy of a Genius, released in 2005, and from which the film is adapted. Asked by the Time Magazinehe first explained: “I don’t believe he needed information from my family. And as an artist, he has every right to do without it. It takes art to tell this story.
