Last week it became clear that Robert Kubica will not be the main Alfa Romeo driver in the 2022 Formula 1 season. This does not mean, however, that the driver’s cooperation with Orlen sponsoring him will end. On the contrary, on Wednesday Kubica is expected to announce plans for the coming months.
Although Kubica will not drive in F1, there are many indications that his cooperation with Alfa Romeo is not over yet. The Pole can still get into the car during selected training sessions and tests.

However, this will not be his main occupation in the coming season. Kubica’s goal is to drive regularly, as was the case this and last year. It seems that the Pole will still be driving long-distance races.

It is not yet known whether Kubica will want to drive in the WEC long-distance world championship and if so, in which team. We are to know all the details at the Wednesday press conference.
Kubica has been cooperating with Orlen since 2019. It was then that the Pole was an F1 driver in the Williams team. In the last two seasons, the Cracovian served as a backup driver in Alfa Romeo and at the same time drove in the DTM and European Le Mans Series.
