10 films that, according to forecasts, could win the Oscar in 2023
2022 marked a roller coaster-like journey for the film industry, between dazzling box office successes and searing disappointments, with highly anticipated releases that failed to make their mark and completely unexpected great exploits. The outcome of the 2023 Oscar race appears equally unpredictable: gripping action films vying for the statuette alongside tearjerkers, bizarre comedies and thrillers of unbearable tension, all by both previous Academy Award winners (Steven Spielberg , Martin McDonagh, Damien Chazelle), as well as talents still on the rise (Daniel Kwan + Daniel Scheinert, Chinonye Chukwu).
The Academy Awards ceremony (with its parade of stars in looks) will be held on March 12, 2023. While waiting for the nominations to come out, we recommend 10 films to keep an eye on.

In Italian theaters on December 22, Steven Spielberg’s moving and intimate tale of family break-up has already won the Audience Award at the Toronto Film Festival (usually a reliable predictor of Academy preferences) and has all the credentials to win the statuette for best film. It could therefore see the three-time Oscar-winning director take the podium once again, perhaps together with John Williams, for the soundtrack, and with Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Judd Hirsch for their extraordinary performances.
