Plan of Sorrento. Singer Frances Maresca is among the awardees of Maria Callas Tribute Award – Callas Tribute Prize NY – for 2022, a recognition for those who have distinguished themselves in the world of Culture, Art and Social Justice.
Francesca will sing about her land, the Sorrentine Peninsula, at the gala to be held at the Italian Consulate in New York City on Park Avenue on November 28 with the patronage of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, 686 Park Avenue, NY 10065 – Consulate General of Italy.
An event conceived and produced by Dante Mariti’s Melos International Events.
An International Award strongly desired in New York since the year 2000, by Melos International in the city that gave birth to the Divine Maria Callas, and which over the years has seen director Lina Wertmuller, actress Sienna Miller, the Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis, the world-famous South Korean soprano Sumi Jo, internationally renowned soprano and actress Lu Ye and many other prestigious artists.
Francesca represents a pride for her Piano di Sorrento where she saw the birth of her passion for singing when I was just a child. A passion and a gift that she cultivated with determination and love until she achieved the well-deserved success that brought her all over the world.
