The San Siro game was very important for both teams. The Neapolitans wanted to keep the title of undefeated in Serie A, while Inter hoped to reduce losses to their main rivals.

In the end, Inter won 3-2 and reduced the loss to today’s opponents to four points. Luciano Spalletti’s players lost the title of the last undefeated team in Serie A.
