Pirates of the Caribbean with Margot Robbie is not dead! The producer: “It will come later”

Over the last few months, there was a lot of talk about Pirates of the Caribbean. In fact, at first a film starring Margot Robbie was announced, then apparently cancelled, while a few days ago the name of Johnny Depp returned to the fore.

Recently though, the franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer released a new statement, which surely won’t go unnoticed:

I think that script will come forward at some point“, Bruckheimer’s words on the film with Margot Robbie. “We’ve developed two different stories for ‘Pirates’ and the other takes priority, so that’s what we’re working on now, to try and make it happen.”

The film starring the Sucide Squad star is therefore anything but dead. “We had this idea and we tried to develop it for a while, centuries ago, into a more feminine thing… Not fully feminine, but still a different kind of story. We thought it would be really cool, but I don’t think that they want to do it“, the words released by the actress last month in Vanity Fair.

Meanwhile, a few days ago the Sun announced the return of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, which seems to have been thus confirmed by Bruckheimer. The film, now known as “A Day At The Sea”, will have prioritywhile the project with Margot Robbie will be continued at a later date.
