PKO Ekstraklasa. Dani Quintana leaves Jagiellonia

Dani Quintana’s return to Poland was one of the most interesting transfers of the summer. The midfielder did a great job in the Polish league years ago, which he deserved to move to the Arab Al-Ahli. The fans hoped that the Spaniard would be doing great on Polish fields again, but his return turned out to be a gigantic profession.

The midfielder managed to play only two games in PKO Ekstraklasa this season. In August, he appeared on the pitch as a substitute in the match against Termalika (1-0), and then started the match against Górnik Zabrze (1-3) in the first team. Since then, the Spaniard has not even appeared in the match team for the next matches of the Polish league.

“Certainly neither side is satisfied with the direction of events. Dani had a long struggle with an injury that prevented him from participating in training and thus also preventing his return to full form. As a result, he played in just two matches. , which was not satisfactory for both the staff and the footballer “- we read in the announcement of the club from Białystok.

The midfielder showed his good side already in the 2012/2013 season, when he scored 4 goals and 3 assists in 15 matches. His first full season in Poland was excellent, because then in 35 games he scored 15 goals and as many as 18 assists, thanks to which he became the star of the Polish league and earned a contract with the tycoon from Saudi Arabia.

The 34-year-old said goodbye to Jagiellonia after just over three months at the club. The reason was injuries, which constantly missed him in the team’s squad for league matches.
