Play continues to expand its cellular network, successively launching base stations in new locations. Over a hundred have arrived in the last month.
Play boasted on Twitter that he launched in November 2021 102 new base stations. This means that the total purple operator has a total of them over 9500. The number of 9,000 was reached in the second half of May this year.

In spring this year, the company finalized the purchase of 60% shares in the company managing the passive infrastructure Play, i.e. towers and masts with antennas, by the company Cellnex. He has the remaining shares Iliad, owner of Play. Violets still have control over active infrastructure.
A year ago, a company for towers and masts controlled by Cellnex announced that it planned to invest by the end of 2030 1.3 billion euros for building 5,000 new locations in Poland. So far, there have been more of them in Play around 1300 (from October 2020).
