The US investigations – Republican members of the Senate Health Commission reviewed hundreds of studies on the origins of Covid and interviewed dozens of experts. Politicians wrote: “It seems reasonable to conclude that the Covid-19 pandemic was, most likely, the result of a research-related incident.” They pointed out the lack of “critical evidence” showing that the virus naturally passed from animals to humans. It was reported on Daily Mail.
Wuhan lab does not respond – The report, however, admitted that crucial information on the true origin is still missing. Questions about the Wuhan Institute of Virology, located eight miles away from the market, went unanswered. Republicans, however, have argued that Covid samples collected from the Wuhan market are too similar to the virus seen in humans to have been spread by animals. The report found that there were at least six research-related incidents involving Covid at biosecurity laboratories in China, Taiwan and Singapore. According to experts, human error, mechanical breakdowns, animal bites or escapes, inadequate training, insufficient funding and pressure for results are possible causes of leaks of virulent pathogens, which in turn can infect animals and humans to the point of causing the escape of viruses from the laboratory.
