Raimi confirms that Mordo (of Earth-616) was expected to be beheaded by Wanda!

Sam Raimi recounts a deleted scene from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with Scarlet Witch to say the least macabre.

The May 4th came out in the cinema Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessthe sequel dedicated to the adventures of the Master of the Mystical Arts played by Benedict Cumberbatchproduced by Marvel Studios and directed by the legendary Sam Raimiwhich sees the return of Elizabeth Olsen in the role of Wanda Maximoff in a story closely related to the events narrated in the series WandaVision.

In the audio commentary of the film, director Sam Raimi confirmed the rumors, explaining that in the first phase there was a scene in which Scarlet Witch would kill Mordo of Earth-616!

He would have killed and beheaded him. Then he would present his head to Strange in the next scene.

Eventually the director decided to cut this scene so as not to reveal Scarlet Witch immediately as the antagonist of the film, removing any reference (except for a sentence pronounced by Strange) to the Bite of Earth-616 and giving space only to the variant of Earth-838.

Directed by Sam Raimi, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will arrive at the cinema on 4 May 2022.

In the cast they return Benedict Cumberbatch (Stephen Strange / Doctor Strange), Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch), Rachel McAdams (Christine Palmer), Benedict Wong (Wong) And Chiwetel Ejiofor (Karl Mordo), together with the new entries Xochitl Gomez (America Chavez) And Adam Hugill (Rintrah).
