Realme Pad won’t get Android 12

Realme Pad without Android 12

Realme made its official debut on the tablet market a few months ago. Now, however, it turns out that Realme Pad will not update to Android 12.

Two years ago, the tablet market was a slowly drying area for several manufacturers who still wanted to operate on it. Then, however, with the decrease in mobility and the extension of the time spent at home, everything changed. The tablets began to rise like yeast. It is true that they have slowed down again recently, but new equipment manufacturers have drawn attention to the old ugly duckling.

One of them was Realme, one of the few brands owned by BBK Electronics. It appeared on the market a few months ago Realme Padwhich was reviewed on TELEPOLIS.PL. However, when the fireworks died down, it turned out that Realme had other plans for its tablet.

The manufacturer announced that the device will not get Android 12. They will still be delivered however security fixes and basic performance fixes. Realme explains that it prefers to focus on its main market, i.e. smartphones.

One of the reasons for not updating to Android 12 could be the MediaTek Helio G80 chip. Before we take offense at MediaTek, however, it also has other systems in its offer and no one told Realme to use it.
