Presented with great success at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Resurrection, psychological thriller that borders on horror with protagonists Rebecca Hall And Tim Rothwill debut in US theaters at the end of July, with a subsequent broadcast on demand.
Written and directed by a young American author named Andrew Semans, Resurrection tells the story of a woman who sees her life, in perfect balance between career and family, made up of a teenage daughter who grew up alone, shocked by the appearance of a man tied to her past and the horrors she now believed forgotten.
Rated with a 84% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Resurrection was praised by critics not only for the story it tells and the tones, but also for the performances of the two protagonists, who for the first time found themselves working together and who made many say that they had produced the best interpretations of their career. Which is perhaps true of Hall, but that if it were also true of Roth it would be truly remarkable.
