“P.departure from home Sunday 17 July at 6.30 with the 100% charged, towards the A1 exit of Fabro (TR), 15 km from the house. Imposed the Cruise-Controll at 130km / h and all Adas available, air conditioning at 22 ° and down to Ceprano (FR), everything runs smoothly: the motorway is free and smooth.

We arrive at about 08:30, routes 250 km. For the first leg / stop with 30% charge, 2 stalls Enel X Ultra Fast of 4x300kWh, 1 of 60kWh and 6 bays Tesla, (all covered with photovoltaic panelsthe). In the meantime it recharges, at 100 meters there is an excellent Bar / Pastry shop and a supermarket: we take the opportunity to have breakfast and relax a bit. We leave at 9.15 am with 95% and down again at 130 km / h: the highway is always free, few cars, and so on Battipaglia (SA). We arrive at 10.30, covered 185 km., Second stage / stop with 45% of charge, 6 stalls Ionity in the heart of the town inside the Agip distributor. We take advantage of it for our needs and a coffee. We leave at 11, with the ninety two% charge: we resume the motorway always respecting the limits. We go out to Lauria (PZ) for the last charging stop, also because after Fast columns there are no more. I choose to make the S.Statale 106 Jonica E / 90, calculated that I arrive with a good autonomy at my destination.

We arrive at about 13, routes 135 kmthird and last stage / stop with i55% of charge, 2 stalls Enel X from 60kWh in the middle of nowhere. We have a packed lunch. We leave at about 13.30 with the 95% of charge. We always resume the motorway and after the Statale 106 respecting the limits. We make another 3 small fast stops for the needs of the child and ours. The last 100 km before the arrival I cover them with a speed of 70/90. We arrive at our destination at 5 pm 235 km (Red Beaches Village, Capo Rizzuto Island, KR) with 50% of charge. A nice journey of over 10 hours, I must say that all three of us arrived quite rested (me, my wife and child). Volkswagen ID.4 she behaved very well. You have helped me a lot and I am more than satisfied with it, exceptional car. Columns working and free, no traffic or other problems. Travel as planned.

Back: recharges and consumption step by step

Departure Sunday 24 July at 9 am with 90% charge (100% recharging done in the week in Catanzaro), and climate always at 22 °. We make the first 70 km of state road up to Catanzaro and then take the A2 / E45 where you can reach speeds of 110/130, km / h, destination Cosenza. We arrive at 10.40: routes 150 km for a small top up, 10kWh 60kW Enel X column for 10 minutes, parking lot full of garbage nothing useful near. We leave immediately, all uphill road to Lauria (PZ). Arrival at 12.20 with autonomy to 19%paths 115 km. Fast 60kW column, we start again at 13 with the 45% of battery until next stop a Battipaglia (SA), in the company of its twin Coupé ID.5 GTX. We arrive at 13.50, 135 km routes with autonomy to 13%. A few steps away there is a dairy / delicatessen: we take the opportunity to have lunch with ham and mozzarella sandwiches, really excellent, and sweet. Time to eat lunch the car is almost recharged.

Let’s start with the 95% charging at 14.40, with arrival in the province of Caserta with 16, routes 110km. IN CONCLUSION – “Moral of the story, for those who say that you can not make long trips with the electric. Sure you have to program them well, especially when i 400km. You have to consider the waiting times to recharge a little, but if used well, like having a coffee and going to the bathroom, it is almost nothing. Considering that in the summer period more or less the same time is lost a queuing at the distributors of motorway service areas, we are almost on par. After a year and 32,000km paths, they are more than satisfied with the choice and I would hardly go back.
