Red Dead Redemption 2 – the player writes a book based on the game

User Reddit pseudonym WankStain615 boasted that he was writing a book based on the events presented in Red Dead Redemption 2. He does it for his father, wanting him to know history Arthur Morgan and John Marstona. The parent cannot do this with a pad in their hands because they are unable to handle the controls in the game. As WankStain615 writes, his father only plays the titles from the series on a daily basis LEGO, intended for younger and less experienced players.

WankStain615 set out to write the book from John Marston’s perspective and cover a series of events ranging from the opening scenes of Red Dead Redemption 2 to the fragment where Dutch, Micah and Arthur discover that the O’Discrolls have taken over Sadie Adler’s house. If the described story attracts the player’s father, it is possible that he will decide to describe the sequel.

Anyway – we are impressed by his initiative. We agree that Red Dead Redemption 2 tells a story so interesting, complex, deep and mature that it deserves a book adaptation. Releasing an official novel about Arthur Morgan, John Marston and other members of Dutch’s gang would be a bull’s eye.

And yet, in the past, many games have received all kinds of adaptations. The most popular way to tell the stories of the heroes and heroines known from consoles and PCs are probably comics. So far, we have already had drawing stories based on games such as God of War, The witcher, Mortal Kombat X, The Last of Us, Assassin’s Creed, Tomb Raider if Mirror’s Edge (only some of them were published in Poland).

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In the portal Metacritic collected an average rating of up to 9.7 (Xbox One version). This is one of the highest scores in the history of video games. Currently, the second RDR can also be played on the next genes, in increased resolution and in 60 frames per second. What further fate awaits this series of video games is not known at the moment.
