Renault Austral, orders opened in Italy – Purchasing Guide

After the winter preview, the new Renault Austral is ready to hit dealerships. Heir to Kadjar, it will be available for order starting from 20 September both in the traditional sales network and on the Renault Italia website.
Customers who have pre-ordered since June 30 will now be able to confirm it to be among the first to receive the vehicle. The new Renault Austral will be positioned at the center of the C-SUV segment, targeting both private customers and professional operators.
The efficiency of the E-Tech full hybrid engine allows it to meet the requirements of the most demanding fleets in terms of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and private customers who want to keep costs down, without having to recharge the battery. The new Austral is in fact available with a new generation E-Tech Full hybrid engine, from 200 hp. This engine includes a new 96 kW (130 hp) 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with 205 Nm of torque. It is combined with a new electric motor, a lithium-ion battery (2 kWh / 400V) and a smart multi-mode transmission with 15 combinations, 2 of which are in 100% electric mode.
Consumption, starting from 4.6 l / 100 km, and CO2 emissions, starting from 104 g / km, are at the top of the category. Two mild hybrid solutions complete the range of 100% hybrid engines: the first includes the new 3-cylinder 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine with direct injection, with a 48V lithium-ion battery and a starter alternator. With this 130 hp engine, equipped with manual transmission, New Austral records fuel consumption and CO2 emissions at the best levels in its category, starting from 5.2 l / 100 km and 118 g / km. For the most demanding, the 12V mild hybrid engine is also available, which delivers 160 hp, based on a 1.3-liter 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine with direct injection. Available with automatic transmission, it offers fuel consumption from 6.2 l / 100 km and CO2 emissions from 140 g / km.
On a technical level, the New Austral inaugurates the latest evolution of the “4CONTROL Advanced” technology, Renault’s four-wheel steering system that offers maximum stability at the rear when traveling at high speeds, as well as excellent maneuverability when maneuvering. Three versions are available: balance, techno and iconic. Prices start at 32,000 euros for the balanced versions with 130 hp mild hybrid engine. The heart of the range is the techno E-tech full hybrid version, at the starting price of 39,500 euros.
