According to the latest rumors, Rober Downey Jr. talks to Iron Man director Jon Favreau and LucasFilm about a role in a production set in the Star Wars universe. Rumors tell the timeline where The Mandalorian takes place. It is possible, therefore, that RDJ will appear in The Book of Boba Fett or in a new production that takes place after the end of the original trilogy.

According to speculation, RDJ could play Grand Admiral Thrawn or another “bighead”. Moreover, it would not be an episodic character, so we could see him in several spin-offs. While there is no doubt that Robert Downey Jr. being talented, his labeling as Iron-Man can be hard to beat. The Disney team would have to skillfully select a role that would be large enough and comparable to the rank of a superhero.
