The Pole is eager to sit down to talks with Bayern Munich regarding the extension of the contract. The situation is not clear, however, as the Bavarian club is waiting for the opportunity to make an offer to Erling Haaland.
The situation of “Lewy” is uncertain, because the Pole has clear requirements – a long-term contract and an unreduced salary. The Bavarian club has a policy of extending contracts for players after the age of 30 for one season, and the Pole would like a contract for a longer period. As it turns out, this is not the only obstacle in signing a new contract, because Bayern is waiting for the development of the situation with the young BVB sniper.
Former Bayern footballer and current TV expert Dietmar Hamann believes Lewandowski will eventually change the club. He stated in firm words that a Pole should do it. – If he wants to win the Golden Ball, he will do so everywhere but in Munich – he said.
If “Lewy” does not extend the contract this year, then, in accordance with Bosman’s law, in January 2023 he will be able to talk to any club about the details of the contract.
This season, Lewandowski played 26 games, scoring 31 goals. Julian Nagelsmann’s team still remains the Bundesliga leader, and the Polish sniper ranks at the top of the scorer’s ranking with twenty goals.
