The entire world championship competition will therefore be visible both in the clear and on pay TV
All the matches of the Rugby World Cup 2023 will be broadcast unencrypted by Rai and paid for by Sky Sport.
The announcements came during the presentation of women’s Italy for the Rugby World Cup 2021 by the deputy director of Rai Sport, Alessandro Fabretti, and the head of the rugby editorial team and commentator for Sky Sport, Francesco Pierantozzi.
“Rai has taken the rights of the men’s World Cup – said Fabretti – All matches will be clear”. Shortly after, Pierantozzi also followed him: “It is with great pleasure that I can say that Sky will follow all the matches of the World Cup”. In addition to the television coverage on Sky Sport, the World Cup matches in France will naturally also be visible on NOW.
In the next Rugby World Cup, which will be hosted in France, Italy is included in Pool A along with New Zealand, France, Uruguay and Namibia.
