“Ryan Gosling is like the perfect man”: Dune Star Timothée Chalamet Swoons Over Oscar-Nominated Barbie Actor After Watching $145M Rom-Com

Timothée Chalamet (or Chala-mala-bing-bong, as is his new nickname thanks to Florence Pugh) has been listed among the most irresistibly attractive heartthrobs in Hollywood ever since his first ever appearance on the big screen back in 2014 in the drama comedy Men, Women & Children. With millions of fans worldwide obsessing over the perfect mix of cute and hot, the only way for the already pretty successful young aspiring actor in the entertainment industry is up.

But as it turns out, this heartthrob has another big heartthrob in the industry whom he looks up to and swoons over, and this new obsession started just after watching Ryan Gosling’s $145 million rom-com Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Crazy, Stupid, Love revolves around a middle-aged man named Cal (played by Steve Carell), whose wife (Julianne Moore) divorces him because he has ‘lost his manhood.’ Hopeless at dating and devastated at watching his family break apart, he seeks help from Jacob (Ryan Gosling), a smooth-talking player about to meet his ultimate match, Hannah (Emma Stone).

Although he is already super famous for his incredible works in his numerous other superhit rom-coms, Ryan Gosling did just as remarkable work in this film as well. Perhaps, that is why Timothée Chalamet just couldn’t help but swoon over the Oscar-nominated actor’s performance in the 2011 $145 million romantic comedy.

In an Actors on Actors interview by Variety with Emma Stone and Timothée Chalametthe conversation shifted to Crazy, Stupid, Love and how brilliantly both Stone and Gosling, along with Carell and Moore, have performed in it. Swooning over the barbie star Dune actor said:

“Ryan Gosling is like the perfect man.”

Undeniably enough, that statement perfectly suits The Notebook actor. In fact, with his comment, Chalamet just might have added another star to Ryan Gosling’s already star-studded reputation.

However, the La La Land star isn’t the only actor that Timothée Chalamet has been inspired by. Surprisingly enough, the Lady Bird actor feels that he owes his entire acting career to the late acting legend, Heath Ledger.

Timothee Chalamet is a man of many talents, and his inspiration came from none other than the deceased actor, Heath Ledger. Appearing in an interview with The Last Magazine, the 27-years-young aspiring actor shared how the late legend’s immaculate performance in his film The Dark Knight inspired him so much that he knew right then that he wanted to become an actor.

“I saw The Dark Knight when I was thirteen,” Chalamet said, “before I applied for LaGuardia, and Heath Ledger made me want to act.”

During his acceptance speech at the National Board of Review Gala Awards in 2018 as well, the Little Women star went ahead to share how Ledger played an immense part in his becoming an actor:

“(Watching The Dark Knight) was truly a transformative experience for me. I didn’t know anything about acting, but I knew I wanted to play something or someone like Heath Ledger’s Joker.”

All in all, Timothée Chalamet’s inspiration combined with his immense hard work and spectacular performances have granted him such a big stage to work on, with the Dune director even claiming he, along with other young aspirational actors in the entertainment industry, is “the future of Hollywood.”
