Emerald Fennell tries again: the star of Anna Karenina and The Danish Girl seems to have appreciated her first experience behind the camera on the occasion of A Promising Woman, so she is already at work with her second film as a director, this Saltburn who can already count on a first-rate protagonist.
It will indeed Rosamund Pike the main face of the cast of the second film by the director Fennell, whose title is currently still provisional, at least according to what has been revealed by Deadline: on the plot too many details have not yet been revealed, but it seems to be a story relating to a great family of the English aristocracya world that Emerald Fennell knows very well thanks to his family history (and, perhaps, also to having played Camilla Parker Bowles in The Crown).
Nothing is yet known, currently, about the other faces who will take part in the film by the author of Killing Eve: we will therefore see what the next updates will be in this regard. Fennell, we remember, however, continues to pursue his parallel career as an actress, having recently joined the cast of Barbie, Greta Gerwig’s film starring Margot Robbie. While waiting for this second work by the director, in the meantime, here we leave you our review of A Promising Woman.
