Sandecja – Widzew: report and result. There is no trace of Widzew’s good condition. First league

Sandecja joined the match with the will to rehabilitate after a home defeat with Skra. The hosts wanted to get closer to the recent leader – they had 29 points, while the guests had so far collected 34 points.

Widzew was the leader until the 16th round, which was related to the great streak – from August 21 until October 30, the Łódź players did not taste the league defeat. Then, however, came the match against Resovia (0: 1), followed by a match against Miedzia (1-1) and a pogrom against Podbeskidzie.

Adding to this a draw in the derby with ŁKS on October 24, these were four consecutive matches without three points. The spectators were going to Nowy Sącz in order to prevent the fifth and at the same time to get closer to the people leading in the table from Legnica.

In the added time of the first half, Dominik Kun scored a goal for the dressing room and it seemed that such an energy boost would allow the guests to get into the second part of the game well and score three points. It was a fast-paced action with plenty of first-ball passes.

After the change of sides, the hosts came to the fore, who in the 62nd minute equalized thanks to Damir Sovsic and a surely made eleven, and five minutes later they took the lead thanks to a hit by 20-year-old Błażej Szczepanek, who was introduced to the field in the second half. Młokos found himself very well in the penalty area after a sensational perpendicular pass.

The guests did not give up until the very end and also benefited from the change made by the trainer Janusz Niedźwiedź. In the 73rd minute Paweł Tomczyk appeared on the playing field, who saved the draw in the 89th minute. He was served by the first goal scorer … who, three minutes later, saw the second yellow card and was sent back to the dressing room moments earlier than his teammates.
