Saudi Pro League director Michael Emenalo has described Mohamed Salah as his “personal favourite” amid ongoing rumors linking the Liverpool star with a move to the Middle East.
Salah was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ittihad during the summer transfer window 90 minutes It is understood that Liverpool rejected a verbal offer of around £150m at the end of August.
The Egyptian was said to be keen on a move, but a deal was unable to be agreed between the clubs before the Saudi transfer window closed in early September.
However, rumors of a future transfer in the 2023/24 season have circulated, with the player widely considered to be one of the emerging league’s biggest targets for the winter transfer window.
speaking through Fabrizio RomanoLeague director Michael Emenalo further fueled his rumors by admitting that Salah is one of his favorite footballers in the world and that he is “welcome anytime” to the Saudi Pro League.
“Mo (advice) is welcomed at any time. But no one is pressured or forced to come,” he said.
“He’s my personal favorite. If people want to come and have the opportunity to work with clubs in a professional way, we’d be very happy to have him.”
Despite the interest, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had previously insisted to the press that he had ‘no doubts’ about Salah’s long-term Reds future: “I never had any doubts about his future, his commitment, and Still no. This club.
