The 2023 program thus combines night markets – which this year will have specific themes: the horse for one and the cultures of the world for the other – music festivals, concerts, shows, open-air cinema sessions in the château and offroad stadiums, wooden attractions such as sports, summeries, station jazz, rock sessions, Baila Comingo or Back to the Kitsch… with events that, again this year, will take place in the heart of Saumur city, but also in Bagneux, Saint-Hilaire -St-Florent, St-Lambert-des-Leviès and Dampier-sur-Loire. The 2023 schedule once again promises a festival of emotions for all.

And it starts off strong with Servo and its syncopated rhythms, sometimes bordering on disco beats and garage patterns. In the second part of the evening the group Imparfait will impress you with their explosive and modern alternative metal. After opening for Osgang, Punish Yourself, Lofophora and Nova Twins, the quartet will be on stage at Rock Sessions!
Station Jazz in the Town Hall Courtyard on July 29: The excitement brings together jazz, wine and cheese (and also adds a little history with a visit to the Town Hall) during an extraordinary evening: Station Jazz. The Skidoo Trio concert will not leave you indifferent! A rare but palpable alliance with the Duo Pierre Vives: the warmth of Clement’s cello blends wonderfully with the pearly sound of Pauline’s harp, thus creating a serene tone rich in resonance. From Saint-Saëns to Ravel, through Debussy and Faure, without forgetting Bizet and Gounod, this sweet, pleasant and rich music will captivate you.

Nikko Del Barrio and Drop Circle are the event’s DJs, carte blanche. From hits from the ’70s to the 2000s, all illusions are allowed…
The Saumur night markets have become essential in five years to animate the heart of the city of Saumur. To make your summer evenings lively and colourful, the Effervescence Night Markets are back on 25 July and 22 August. The night markets are the ideal opportunity to stroll through the city center, eat, discover local products and crafts, and have an unforgettable encounter with musical entertainment and the rhythms of the promenade. In July, pony rides, mechanical rodeo, meetings with the authors of “Triple Gallop” and “Paloma Learns Horse Riding with Panache”, air horses… (you guessed it, the theme of the evening will be the horse!) on the little train without forgetting the traditional ride. In August, Zumba, percussion, African dance and traditional Hmong dances punctuate the evening as a sign of cultural diversity.
