At least two people were killed and 15 injured on Tuesday in a heavy explosion at a missile factory in the southern suburbs of Belgrade. Fire departments were directed to the scene of the accident, the daily Danas reported, citing the Serbian interior ministry.
At the time of the explosion, there were about 100 employees of the Edepro factory on the shift, reported the daily “Novosti”.
Serbia’s Ministry of the Interior has announced that 11 fire engines have been sent to the scene of the accident. So far, it is not known what caused the explosion.
A similar explosion took place in 2008 in the Edepro branch, which deals with mixing substances used to fill rockets – recalled the N1 television.
