Shakira calls on political leaders in the world to deploy for 15 days to social isolation

The singer colombian Shakira asked on Friday 20 march 2020 to the political leaders who implement in their countries the “social distancing end” for 15 days in order to avoid that the coronavirus to expand on regions where there are still a few casesunlike what has happened in Europe.

“In the countries that for now have few cases to learn from errors we are paying for in the european countries where the measures they arrived too late, for us to call upon our leaders to implement 15 days social distancing-end”said the colombian in a video posted on their social networks.

The artist -who has sold more than 60 million disks and has won numerous awards, including three Grammys and 11 Latin Grammys – criticized countries that “they are not listening to the recommendations of the health authorities, they are acting late or are prioritizing the economy on the health and well-being of the citizens”.

“In my experiencehaving been in Europe the last few weeks, we’ve noticed that the virus is very fast and our leaders too slow. All countries must collaborate in conjunction with the World Health Organization in a coordinated plan and international levels”, he warned.

“Please, let’s stay at home for 15 days, for the sake of the most needof the sickof the older people and the most vulnerable in the world”, apostilló the artist born in Barranquilla 43 years ago.
