Ski jumping: Piotr Żyła entered the ice-cold lake after the World Cup competition [WIDEO]

The second weekend of the new ski jumping World Cup season is over. For the inauguration of the World Cup the jumpers competed in Nizhny Tagil and now they met in Ruka. Biało-Czerwoni will not have nice memories of these competitions.

On Sunday, Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki did not even qualify for the second round, and the best Pole was Jakub Wolny (23rd place). In the first round, Piotr Żyła flew to 140 meters, which gave him the ninth position. On the second attempt, however, he found terrible conditions and he jumped only 112 m. Ultimately, he finished the competition in 27th place.

The popular “Wewiór” was clearly disappointed with the results of the competition. He was not very talkative in front of the Eurosport cameras, he only announced that he was going straight to the lake.

He did so shortly afterwards. On Instagram, Piotr Żyła published a recording showing him entering an ice-cold lake. He spent about a minute in it.

– To sum up my second jump. To the sackcloth and the lake, he wrote.

“I went to relax a bit,” he later told a TVN24 reporter. – I don’t normally do such things. Usually I try to tone down my emotions, and today I had a stupid idea and I flew to the lake – he explained. When asked if it helped him, he replied: “For sure. Sometimes you have to react to certain things. Cool. And now it’s git again.”
