Sofia Essaïdi at peace with Star Academy: “The small wounds I may have had are healed”

On October 11, the youngest will be able to discover the second part of the Animation Film paw patrol : the super patrol, in which Sofia Essaïdi embodies vocally the character of the villainess. On the occasion of this very successful and joyful first dubbing experience, the 39-year-old actress and singer confided in the columns of the Parisian, this Friday, September 1st. An interview that was conducted three days earlier.

With hindsight, Sofia Essaïdi indicated that she had “loved doing this show”, but also “classes from morning to evening, the challenges, every day, the crazy choreographies by Kamel Ouali, sing with Beyoncé, Lara Fabian, Isabelle Boulayof which (she) was a fan”. With pride and admiration, the actress told the Parisian that “Sting had been lovely” and that she would very much like to relive a moment like the one she was able to experience in his company thanks to the star Academy : “It’s my ultimate dream to sing with him again. I’m calling!”

A singer soon to be back in the studio?

Asked about the possibility of his big comeback in the recording industrySofia Essaïdi gave an answer that may please her early fans: “I really want to come back. I have a very fulfilling life as an actress, a lot of projects, but music is visceral for me.” On her way, the actress gave explanations on what makes her want to come back to the recording studio: “The first click is Ibrahim Maaloufwith whom I almost made an entire album, a few years ago. He kindly invited me, a year ago, to two festivals to sing jazz, the music that I love above all else. A reconnection begins to take place. And second bite, the ‘Enfoirés’. (…) I had wonderful sets and I received a lot of love. I feel like the audience opened their arms up to me and held me tight as a singer, it was awesome!”
