Sony confirms the resignation from PS Now cards. PS Plus Spartacus can hit the entire market at the same time

Sony has reacted to the recent reports on the resignation of PS Now cards, which is why rumors about the introduction of a new service under the PlayStation brand are not silenced. The corporation can prepare for the simultaneous introduction of the PS Plus Spartacus worldwide.

Xbox Game Pass is constantly enjoying great popularity, which is why many industry observers are waiting for the reaction of the Japanese giant and speculating about the new service. It is said that Sony may finally take a step forward. Yesterday we informed about an unexpected decision to remove PS Now cards from the British market, which could suggest a combination of the service with PS Plus – Bloomberg was the first to inform about the mysterious “Spartacus”.

In the latest announcement, Sony confirmed to the GamesBeat editorial office that the resignation from PS Now cards is global:

“We are moving away from PlayStation Now gift cards around the world to focus on our current PlayStation cash gift cards that are redeemable on PlayStation Now.”

Currently, the manufacturer does not mention any connection with PS Plus and the development of an extensive offer, but most likely it seems only a matter of time. Two well-known sources (Eurogamer and Bloomberg) already provided news about the new Sony offer.

GamesBeat also revealed that stores from the United States and Canada were to begin the process of removing cards a few weeks ago. PS Now is not available worldwide, meanwhile, according to rumors from PS Plus, Spartacus would hit all markets simultaneously.
