Chef Gary Rhodes, known from series such as Master Chef and Hell’s Kitchen, passed away yesterday at the age of 59. Rhodes died with his beloved wife Jennie by his side. That makes his family known in a statement.
“The Rhodes family is deeply saddened by the death of her beloved husband, father, and brother,” can be read in the sad statement the family has made. The family thanks all fans for the statements of support, but also asks for peace in order to be able to process the loss.
Rhodes grew up in Kent, British. His first professional job was at the Hilton in Amsterdam, where he started experimenting with nouvelle cuisine (French for a new kitchen, ed.). In 1997 he opened his first restaurant and in 2006 he received a British royal honor. He has appeared in programs such as Master Chef and Hell’s Kitchen.
