Days after the announcement of the stop at the shows because of facial paralysis, the star Justin Bieber reached another impressive mark: it exceeded 4 billion listens on Spotify in 2022 alone. The information is from @jdbanalytics, a Twitter and Instagram account that counts singer numbers.

This new feat reaffirms his reputation as a record breaker. In January, the Canadian added ten videos with more than one billion views on YouTube and ten songs with more than one billion plays on Spotify.

YouTube record holders: “Sorry”, “Love Yourself”, “Baby”, “What Do You Mean?”, “Let Me Love You”, “I’m The One”, “Where Are Ü Now”, “Never Say Never”, “Cold Water (LV)” and “Met Me Love You (LV)”. And the Spotify tops: “Love Yourself”, “Despacito”, “Sorry”, “Let Me Love You”, “I Don’t Care”, “Cold Water”, “What Dou You Mean?”, “I’ m The One”. “Stay”, “Peaches”.

These records make his legion of fans around the world proud, but concern about the immediate future of his career is still high.

Last week, Bieber revealed in a video that he has “Ramsay Hunt syndrome,” an infection of the nerves in the face and ear that causes paralysis. It is caused by the herpes zoster virus, which is also responsible for chickenpox. “That eye isn’t blinking, I can’t smile on that side of my face, that side of my nose doesn’t move. It’s a total paralysis on that side”, explained the singer, in the video.

Due to paralysis, the musician postponed the remaining dates of his “Justice World Tour” tour in the United States. Previously, the singer had already canceled concerts in the cities of Toronto (Canada) and Washington (USA). This tour of Bieber has already been postponed several times because of the pandemic of coronavirus.

Bieber is one of the main attractions of Rock in Rio on September 4th. It also has dates in São Paulo, at Allianz Parque, on the 14th and 15th of the same month.

For all performances, tickets are already sold out. But, attention: everything still depends on the evolution of the singer’s recovery. So it’s good to be on the lookout for future developments. Justin Bieber’s official website is at this link.
