Stranger Things: this character will finally take center stage in season 5 – News Séries

Although the strike of writers and actors prevents the filming of the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things”, major information has just filtered on the finale of the second most popular series of Netflix.

The production of season 5 of Stranger Things has been on hiatus since early May with the writers’ strike, now accompanied by the actors’ strike.

Despite everything, some information is filtering out on the long-awaited finale of the series via variety. We learn that this fifth and final season will not only concern the ultimate confrontation between Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), also called One and born Peter Ballard.

For its swan song, the Netflix hit plans to come full circle with another character. The one with whom it all started. It is of course Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) whose kidnapping launched the plot of the series from the first episode.

Will takes center stage again in Season 5“, explains co-creator Ross Duffer to Variety, in an article detailing how the coming out of the character has helped his interpreter Noah Schnapp to do the same.

This emotional arc for him is what we hope will tie the whole series together. Will is used to being the ‘young’, ‘introverted’, protected one“, adds Duffer.”So part of his journey isn’t just about his sexuality, it’s also about Will thriving as a young man.

It stands to reason that the teenager would play a crucial role in defeating Vecna. Even years after Will’s rescue from the Upside Down, he still remains connected to this other reality and its creator. But to see it, we will have to wait since the double strike of screenwriters and actors is still in progress.

The writing doesn’t stop when filming begins“, said the Duffer brothers. “Well that we can’t wait to start production with our amazing cast and crew, that’s not possible during this strike. We hope that a fair deal will be reached soon so that we can all get back to work. In the meantime, it’s the end of the transmissions.

We will have to take our troubles patiently before finding the whole Hawkins gang. But in the meantime, you can discover the incredible true story behind the Duffer Brothers series with this short podcast:
