Sweeney was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, for her poignant portrayal of troubled teenager Cassie in Euphoriaand for Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries, Anthology Series or TV Movie for the role of the spoiled young Olivia, on vacation with her family in the first season of The White Lotus. “What a morning! In the past, Sweeney had made herself heard by claiming that there was “a stigma for women stripping on screen” from critics, referring to her uninhibited character as Euphoriain his opinion little understood, in contrast to Olivia’s role of The White Lotus for which he had only received compliments. “I am very proud of my work in Euphoria. I thought it was a great performance. But no one talked about it, just because I had undressed. I do The White Lotus and suddenly the critics are paying attention, “she pointed out.
