(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 16 – Francis Ford Coppola, Eva Longoria, Sofia Carson, Diane Warren, Giuseppe Tornatore, Ferzan Özpetek, Catherine Hardwicke, Marco Giallini, Isabella Ferrari and the 1982 World Champions. This is the menu of the 68th edition of the Taormina Film Fest 2022 (June 26 – July 2), again with red carpet, presented by the three directors: Alessandra De Luca, Federico Pontiggia and Francesco Alò. It starts with Il Padrino in a restored version in the presence of Francis Ford Coppola in an evening, hosted by Anna Ferzetti and ends with Giuseppe Tornatore and his Ennio di lui. Then there will be Ferzan Özpetek in the “one man show” entitled Ferzaneide and again, Tell it Like a Woman, female polysymphony composed of seven shorts made by Maria Sole Tognazzi, Lucia Puenzo, Catherine Hardwicke, Taraji P. Henson, Leena Yadav, Mipo O, Silvia Carobbio and Lucia Bulgheroni who sees among the interpreters Jennifer Hudson, Cara Delevingne, Margherita Buy, Marcia Gay Arden, Leonor Varela, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ann Watanabe and Eva Longoria – protagonist of an episode shot in Italy – which will accompany the film in Taormina. These women’s tales will be preceded on the stage of the Ancient Theater by a musical moment with the composer Diane Warren and the singer, actress and dancer Sofia Carson. But on the music front also: Raphael Gualazzi, Kaballà, Lello Amalfino, Max Dedo, Nicola Costa and Mario Venuti.
The latter is also the protagonist of the docufilm Something still burns by Daniele Gangemi. (HANDLE).
