Taylor Swift announces new album after being top MTV VMA winner – 8/29/2022

Taylor Swift was the top winner of the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards by winning Video of the Year. The ceremony took place on Sunday night, 28, in New Jersey, USA. The singer-songwriter took home the trophy for her work on the 10-minute music video for All Too Well (Taylor’s Version).

As he took the stage, however, Taylor made an announcement that left all his fans surprised, as he revealed when his next album will be released.

“My new album comes out October 21st,” she told a raucous crowd. “And I’ll tell you more at midnight.”

Around midnight local time (1 am on Monday in Brazil), a post announcing the title and more details about the new album appeared on the singer’s Instagram account.

“Midnights, stories of 13 sleepless nights spread across my life, will be released on October 21. Meet me at midnight,” read the message accompanying the album art.

The album has been described as “a collection of songs written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams”.

Taylor Swift said the decision to reveal the release of her new album is due to the generosity of her fans voting for her to win the Video of the Year award.

Among the winners of the 2022 VMAs, Anitta also stands out, who became the first Brazilian to receive the North American award. Her song Involver was voted Best Latin Music Video.
