Paramount Pictures and Skydance present Transformers – The Awakening, in association with Hasbro and New Republic Pictures and distributed by Eagle Pictures. It is a Don Murphy/Tom DeSanto, Bonaventura Pictures and Bay Films production, which includes Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer, Valerii An as executive producers. Directed by Steven Caple Jr., the film is written by Joby Harold and Darnell Metayer & Josh Peters and Erich Hoeber & Jon Hoeber, with story by Joby Harold. The cast is formed by Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Tobe Nwigwe, Peter Cullen, Ron Perlman, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Liza Koshy, John DiMaggio, David Sobolov, Michaela Jae Rodriguez, Pete Davidson, Cristo Fernández.

Transformers – The Awakening will take us to the 90s, in an epic adventure around the world, where we will find the Autobots and a new generation of Transformers, the Maximals, who will take part in the eternal battle on earth between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

The Transformers saga in cinemas

The saga arrives at the cinema with the first film in 2007 and brings the toys of the same name into live action already protagonists of numerous animated series: the toy line was born in 1984 and is the result of a Japanese-American co-production; the first animated series begins that year and lasts until 1987, an animated film is produced in 1986 and other series in the following years. Michael Bay represents the director and producer of the five main films: transformers in 2007, Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen in 2009, transformers 3 in 2011, Transformers 4 – Age of Extinction in 2014 and Transformers – The Last Knight in 2017.

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee they constitute the recurring characters among the protagonist alien-robots, accompanied by several humans. In the first movie Sam Whitwicky (Shia LaBeouf) uses his new car to lure Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox), but will find out that it is about Bumblebeean alien from the planet Cybertronbelonging to the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime. After the destruction of the planet Cybertron, they research the legendary AllSpark cube, which fell to Earth around 10,000 BC. C., and must counter the Decepticons and their leader Megatron who want to use the power of the AllSpark to transform human machines into a new army of Decepticons and conquer the universe.
