The name Coriolanus Snow will probably ring a bell, since we know him as the ruthless president of the original film series who rules Panem with an iron fist. In this new prequel, we get to know the president in a very different way, when he is just a young man of 18 and not the tyrant played by Donald Sutherland. The film takes place as the tenth annual Hunger Games are about to begin. Young Snow, who will be played on screen by the British actor Tom Blythis tasked with mentoring Lucy Gray Baird, a District 12 scout.

It is the rising star Rachel Zegler (‘Snow White’, ‘West Side Story’) who was chosen to slip into the shoes of Lucy Gray Baird, the representative of District 12 in the Hunger Games, thus taking up the torch of Jennifer Lawrence. Tigris Snow (Hunter Schafer)

Actress and model Hunter Schafer, star of the series ‘Euphoria’, has her first major film role playing the mysterious character of Tigris Snow. She’s there cousin and confidante of Coriolanus, who advises him on all subjects. She then became a stylist for the Games and, many years later, a ally of Katniss including helping her and the rest of Squad 451 hide as they prepare to march on the Capitol.
