The creator of MotorStorm and DriveClub heads another Avalanche division. New IP in 2022

Paul Rustchynsky, one of the top developers behind Driveclub and MotorStorm, recently joined the Avalanche team. Soon we will get to know the new IP for which this author is responsible.

Paul Rustchynsky previously worked as the director of Onrush, DriveClub and the designer of subsequent MotorStorm installments. In 2016, Evolution Studios was closed and last year the developer started working in a new studio. This is the Avalanche team, responsible for such items as Rage 2, Mad Max or the Just Cause series.

We already know that Paul Rustchynsky took the lead Avalanche’s new branch, located in Liverpool. Work is currently underway there over a completely new IP, which will be revealed in 2022.

Paul Rustchynsky chills the emotions and expectations of DriveClub and MotorStorm fans by writing on his Twitter that the new IP will be something completely than what he was working on before. It is definitely not races. It remains, therefore, to wait for the disclosure of this mysterious project.

“I’m not working on racing. So no, it won’t be a sequel to DriveClub, a successor to MotorStorm or Onrush. This project is completely different than what I did before,” Rustchynsky wrote.

By the way, the developer boasted that he completed 85 titles in 2021 and also replaced it your best 2021 games:

  1. It Takes Two
  2. Returnal
  3. Metroid Dread
  4. Death’s Door
