From Monday 8 August the Dazn online streaming platform will be available again on Sky with two modes of use. Subscribers to the Sky Q service will have the opportunity to access the Dazn app directly from their decoder – something that was not possible until now – while with an additional offer it will be possible to access a so-called “linear channel” via satellite from Sky (the 214) in which Dazn will broadcast a selection of its main events, including Serie A. In the plans of the two companies, this agreement should increase accessibility and use of the games.
Also this season Dazn will broadcast all the Serie A matches, seven of which exclusively and three shared with Sky. Between the two broadcasters there had already been a similar agreement in the past, but interrupted following the passage of the main package of television rights of the Italian championship from Sky to Dazn. The latter had subsequently reached an agreement to share its contents in the TIMvision offer, the TIM Group’s online platform, which will continue to exist this season as well, without exclusivity.
